The Lancaster Languages premises at Well House Farm, were formerly a farm manager’s cottage attached to a Georgian manor house, built in 1820. Prior to that, the site had been a working farm, dating back to the 1680s. Situated on the edge of the historic city of Lancaster, we are just a short walk from the beautiful Williamson’s Park with its famous Ashton Memorial, described as “England's grandest folly”.

Only minutes from Lancaster Languages you can be in the heart of Lancaster city centre, with its many attractions and places of historic interest – the twelfth century castle, riverside walks, friendly local shops, theatres and restaurants, and the weekly market selling regional produce. On the other hand, if you prefer the countryside, the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and, our favourite, the Forest of Bowland, are all on our doorstep and offer stunning views, miles of hiking and picturesque villages with welcoming country pubs.

Lancaster offers easy rail access to London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and is an hour’s journey from all the major attractions of Manchester and Liverpool, whether it be shopping, art galleries, the Beatles or football.
